How to Get MATIC

Follow these steps to get $MATIC. If you already have MATIC on layer 1 and need to bridge it to layer 2 for gameplay, follow these instructions.

Layer 1 (Ethereum)

How to get MATIC on layer 1 Ethereum:

To get MATIC, use Uniswap to swap from any token to MATIC using this URL: https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap

First connect your MetaMask wallet to Uniswap:

Then click on the first dropdown menu to select the token you'd like to swap from.

Next you will click on the second dropdown menu and search for MATIC

This will require confirmation of the use of the MATIC token, which will be pulled in from CoinGecko data

Next enter the desired amount and press swap:

To finalize the swap, you will need to confirm the use of your source token within Uniswap, and then execute two confirmations.

The first confirmation is within Uniswap:

The second confirmation is within MetaMask:

Once both confirmations are executed, you can add the MATIC to your MetaMask:
